Childrens' Day 2018

The first Sunday of March each year is a special day on which New Zealand celebrates Children, with fun family events happening all over the country.  

For the second year running the Christchurch City Council held its event on the corner of Locksley Ave and New Brighton Road in Dallington’s beautiful Green Zone.

This year members of your Resident’s Association volunteered to help council staff on the day.

A big thanks to Jan, Tony, Stephen, Bebe, Louise and Catherine who armed with Hi Vis Vests and walkie talkies spent the day wrangling cars, so attendees had a close, hassle free and safe place to park their vehicles.

The day itself was sunny and warm, everyone appeared in good spirits as they played, ate, relaxed and were entertained by a wide range of performers and activities provided by community groups and sporting associations.
