Founded in early 2000 the Dallington Residents Association formed as

St Paul's Church

St Paul's parish church and school suffered greatly from the effects of the September 2010 earthquake. It was forced to relocate their church services to the Marian College chapel and the students to the Catholic Cathedral College site. When the February 2011 Christchurch earthquake caused additional damage, St Paul's School was moved to a site which the Minister of Education made available in Champion St.

The site of St Paul's church and school was cleared and now forms a part of the Otakaro Avon River Corridor Green Spine.
